Update Port Settings

To change the port setting on the most popular email applications, please refer to the steps below:

Microsoft Outlook 2007
1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.
2. Select your account under the E-mail tab, and then press the Change button.
3. The Internet E-mail Settings dialog box appears, showing the settings for your existing account. Click the More Settings button.
4. Go to the Advanced tab, under Outgoing server (SMTP), change port 25 to 587 and change “Use the following type of encrypted connection” to TLS
5. Click the OK button to save the changes.

Microsoft Outlook 2013 and higher
1. Click on the File tap in the upper-left corner of the Outlook window.
2. Click Account Settings, then Account settings in the pop-up box.
3. Select your email address and click “Change”
4. Click on More Settings
5. Click the “Advanced” tab, then change the outgoing server (SMTP) port to 587. Change “Use the following type of encrypted connection” to TLS.
6. Click OK, then click Next
7. Click finish

Windows Mail
1. Start Windows Mail, click the Tools menu at the top of the window and then click Accounts.
2. Select your account under Mail, and then click on the Properties button.
3. Go to the Advanced tab, under Outgoing server (SMTP), change port 25 to 587.
4. Click the OK button to save the changes.

Outlook Express
1. Start Outlook Express, and then select Accounts from the Tools menu at the top of the window.
2. Double click on your email account.
3. Under the Advanced tab, change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port 25 to 587.

Mozilla Thunderbird
1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird, and select Account Settings from the Tools menu.
2. On the left pane, select the entry Outgoing Server (SMTP) and the settings will appear on the right.
3. Select your account, then click Edit. Change port 25 to 587.
4. Click the OK button to save the changes.

Apple Mail
1. Launch Apple Mail, then on the Mail menu, click Preferences.
2. Click on the Accounts tab, and select your email account.
3. Under the Outgoing Mail Server section, click on the Server Settings button.
4. Change the Server Port from 25 to 587.

Macmail
1. Launch Macmail, then on the Mail menu click Preferences.
2. Click Accounts, then Server Settings
3. In Outgoing Mail Server go to Account, then select from the drop-down menu “Edit SMTP Server list”
4. Uncheck “Automatically manage connection settings”
5. Change the server port from 25 to 587.
